AR CAR RENTAL | CEBU CAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these Cebu car rental terms carefully before submitting a booking request. These terms explain rental periods, vehicle use, driver responsibilities, delivery and return arrangements, damage, incidents, charges, cancellations and booking confirmation.

RESERVATION CONFIRMATION REQUIRES MANUAL REVIEW

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee vehicle availability or confirm your reservation. AR Car Rental will review your request, check vehicle availability, calculate the applicable final amount, and send confirmation by email.

1. RENTAL PERIOD, EXTENSION & OVERTIME

The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time stated in the confirmed rental arrangement.

Customers who need additional rental time should contact AR Car Rental before the scheduled return time.

An extension is subject to vehicle availability and AR Car Rental approval.

Overtime charges:

SEDAN / HATCHBACK:
₱250 per hour

SUV / VAN:
₱350 per hour

An extension is not considered approved until AR Car Rental confirms it.

Unapproved late return may result in applicable overtime or additional rental-day charges.

2. FUEL POLICY

The vehicle should be returned with the agreed fuel level.

The fuel level should be recorded during vehicle handover and return where applicable.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than the agreed level, the renter may be responsible for the documented fuel replacement/reimbursement cost.

Customers should keep relevant receipts or evidence where applicable.

3. VEHICLE CONDITION, INSPECTION & DAMAGE

Before the rental begins, the vehicle condition should be inspected and documented.

Existing scratches, dents, paint marks, windshield damage, tire condition and other visible defects should be recorded through photographs or video where appropriate.

The renter is responsible for new damage reasonably determined to have occurred during the rental period and to be attributable to the renter's use, negligence, misuse, unauthorized driver or violation of the rental terms.

Normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, ordinary mechanical/electrical failure not caused by misuse, manufacturing defects, and damage clearly caused by a third party or uncontrollable event should not automatically be treated as renter-caused damage.

4. OPTIONAL ₱5,000 PROTECTION / PARTICIPATION OPTION

AR Car Rental may offer an optional ₱5,000 protection / participation option for eligible vehicle damage, subject to the rental agreement, circumstances and applicable assessment.

This option does not mean that the vehicle is insured.

If the renter does not choose or pay the ₱5,000 protection / participation option and eligible renter-caused damage occurs, the applicable damage charge is:

₱3,500 PER AFFECTED PANEL

Damage assessment remains subject to the circumstances, available evidence, rental agreement and applicable assessment.

This option does not automatically cover every type of loss.

5. THEFT, CARJACKING & UNAUTHORIZED TAKING

The ₱5,000 protection / participation option does NOT automatically cover theft of the vehicle, carjacking, robbery involving the vehicle, unauthorized taking, stolen or missing vehicle, or unauthorized possession or use.

Such situations are handled according to the rental agreement, circumstances, evidence and applicable assessment.

The renter may remain responsible for losses or charges arising from such circumstances, subject to the applicable agreement and law.

AR Car Rental vehicles should not be described as insured under this option.

6. DRIVER & AUTHORIZED USE

Only the renter and/or driver declared and accepted by AR Car Rental may operate the vehicle.

The driver must provide a valid driver's license and required identification. A student permit is not accepted.

The vehicle must not be used for racing, speed testing, illegal activities, driving under the influence, unauthorized driving, sub-rental or re-rental, reckless or prohibited use, or unauthorized transfer of possession.

The renter must operate the vehicle safely and comply with applicable Philippine traffic laws.

7. TRAFFIC FINES, TOLLS & OTHER CHARGES

The renter is responsible for applicable charges arising from the renter's use of the vehicle, including where applicable traffic violations, parking penalties, toll charges, ferry or transport charges, impound fees, towing or recovery, and other documented charges resulting from the renter's use or violation.

Where appropriate, AR Car Rental may provide supporting documentation for charges.

8. BREAKDOWN, ACCIDENTS & INCIDENT REPORTING

For accidents, breakdowns, warning lights, theft, vehicle damage or other serious incidents, the renter must contact AR Car Rental as soon as reasonably possible.

For safety emergencies, the renter should first take reasonable steps to protect people and property.

The renter should not authorize major repairs or replacement parts without AR Car Rental approval unless emergency action is reasonably necessary for safety or to prevent further damage.

Photos, videos, inspection records, messages, receipts, police or authority reports and other relevant evidence may be considered when assessing an incident.

9. RETURN OF VEHICLE

The vehicle should be returned in substantially the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear and tear.

The renter should remove personal belongings before returning the vehicle.

Lost keys, documents, tools, accessories or equipment may result in a reasonable replacement charge.

10. CAR WASH & CLEANING CHARGES

Current AR Car Rental car wash charges:

SUV / SEDAN / HATCHBACK:
₱300

VAN:
₱400

These charges are separate from delivery and return fees.

Additional cleaning may apply where unusual cleaning is required because of excessive dirt, stains, spills, smoking/vaping residue, pet hair or similar conditions, subject to reasonable assessment.

Ordinary road dust from normal use should not automatically be treated as damage.

11. DELIVERY & RETURN ARRANGEMENTS

Customers provide a Delivery Address and a Return Address when submitting a booking request.

AR Car Rental reviews the requested arrangement and includes applicable delivery and return charges in the final rental calculation.

Current one-way / per-service fees:

Lapu-Lapu City / Mactan Proper — ₱300
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) — ₱300
Cordova — ₱300
Mandaue City — ₱350
Cebu City — ₱350
Consolacion — ₱350
Talisay City — ₱400
Liloan — ₱450
Danao City — ₱500
Minglanilla — ₱500
Naga City — ₱550

Customers do not manually select the fee. The applicable amount is determined during the booking review.

12. OUT-OF-CEBU RENTAL CHARGE

For applicable bookings outside Cebu City and the regular service area, an additional ₱500 per rental day may apply.

The applicable charge depends on the rental arrangement and destination.

This is not a standard delivery fee.

13. PAYMENT & FINAL RENTAL AMOUNT

The final rental amount is determined after AR Car Rental reviews the booking request.

Depending on the applicable rental arrangement, the final amount may include vehicle rental charges, delivery charge, return charge, car wash charge, applicable out-of-Cebu charge, optional protection / participation charge, approved overtime and other agreed or applicable charges.

No specific deposit percentage or payment method is stated here; these may be communicated in the booking confirmation or rental agreement.

14. CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & EARLY RETURN

Cancellation and refund arrangements are subject to the applicable booking confirmation and rental agreement.

AR Car Rental may require supporting documentation when a customer requests an exception to a cancellation or refund policy.

Early return does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund for unused rental time because the vehicle was reserved for the agreed rental period, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

15. FAIR DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

AR Car Rental will consider relevant evidence when assessing vehicle damage.

Customers may provide photographs, videos, messages, incident reports, receipts, police or authority documentation and other relevant evidence.

Pre-existing damage should not be charged as new renter-caused damage.

The same affected panel should not be charged twice for the same incident.

16. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

The renter agrees to provide accurate information, provide valid required documents, use the vehicle responsibly, follow applicable traffic laws, protect the vehicle from avoidable damage, report incidents promptly, return the vehicle on time, return the vehicle according to the agreed arrangements, not allow unauthorized persons to drive, and not use the vehicle for prohibited purposes.

17. BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Submitting a booking request does NOT mean that the rental is confirmed.

The process is:

01 — BOOKING REQUEST: Customer submits the online request.

02 — AVAILABILITY REVIEW: AR Car Rental manually checks vehicle availability and rental details.

03 — FINAL RENTAL AMOUNT: Applicable rental, delivery, return and other charges are calculated.

04 — EMAIL CONFIRMATION: AR Car Rental sends the final rental details and confirmation by email.

Only the confirmation sent by AR Car Rental confirms the rental.

18. FAIR DEALING & CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION

AR Car Rental and the renter should communicate promptly and honestly about rental issues.

Where a damage or incident assessment is disputed, the renter may provide relevant evidence or an explanation for review.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive rights or obligations that cannot legally be waived.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By proceeding with a confirmed rental, the renter acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable rental terms and understand their responsibilities regarding vehicle use, rental period, delivery and return, damage, incidents and applicable charges.
